On June 7th, popular girl group Girls’ Generation (Tae Yeon, Yoona, Jessica, Sooyoung, Hyo Yeon, Yuri, Tiffany, Sunny, Seo Hyun) headed to the airport to catch their Paris-bound airplane. The girls will be performing in Paris with fellow label mates at the Le Zenith de Paris on June 10th-11th for the “SM TOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR IN PARIS” Girls’ Generation’s (SNSD) Tae Yeon bravely showed up in her bare make-up free face. This comes as a surprise because she confessed that she was a cosmetics otaku in a Japanese talk show just last week. During the program, she stated,“I brought over 20 lipstick and lipcare products, 10 make-up brushes, and 5 cosmetic bags [to Japan]."
The concert was originally scheduled for one day, but the explosive response from KPOP’s Parisian fans earned them an additional concert. Tickets for the June 10th concert sold out within 15 minutes of being released; and on May 1st, over 300 European fans held a flash mob event at the Pyramide de Louvres in Paris in a successful attempt to convince SM Entertainment to add another concert.
SM Entertainment (SM) affiliated stars like Dong Bang Shin Ki (DBSK), Super Junior (SuJu), Girls’ Generation (SNSD), SHINee, and f(x) will greet their fans for the first time on European soil on June 10th. Once they complete their Paris concert, Girls’ Generation will head back to Japan to complete their Japanese tour.
