SBS E!TV’s ‘Star Q10′ will be analyzing the ‘SNSD craze’ in various countries (except the African continent).
In Korea, the girls have many uncle fans and among the soldiers, they were being regarded as ‘President’. In Japan, they were known as the group with beautiful legs and spearheaded the rise of hallyu fever in Japan by creating and breaking records on various Oricon Charts.
In other parts of the world, SNSD’s popularity is also on the rise. More than 100 members from International fanclub, ‘Soshified’ will be flying over to Korea for a trip package to catch a glimpse of the girls.
In an interview with an entertainment program recently, it was revealed that Hyoyeon was the most popular member among male fans in Europe. In addition to that, from a survey conducted on 60 participants in Toronto, Hyoyeon had also garnered substantial amount of votes, which indicates her popularity among international fans as well.
Also, a lot of fanmade UCC videos can also be found on the Internet, which is an evidence of the girls’ popularity on a global scale.
