A star-studded group of K-pop artists will take part in the upcoming "Incheon Korean Music Wave 2011" concert, scheduled for August 13th at 6:00pm local time. Ticket and venue information has not yet been confirmed. Although the concert will take place in Incheon, Korea, it is being marketed primarily towards Japanese fans of the artists attending in hopes that they will travel to see their favorite stars. The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism sponsored last year's concert, which was also broadcast on a special episode of Music Core.
This year's lineup-- SNSD, Wonder Girls, KARA, 4minute, Super Junior, BEAST, SHINee, 2AM, 2PM, GD&TOP, SG Wannabe, MBLAQ, and CNBlue--includes many of the Korean pop music scene's biggest stars. Many have loyal followings across Asia, and others have released singles or albums for the Japanese market (CNBlue debuted quietly in Japan before releasing their first Korean mini album in 2010).
