Girls’ Generation received a Bonsang at ’2011 Style Icon Awards (SIA)’ held in CJ E&M Center, Sangamdong on November 3rd. The girls were the only group among other idol groups to have won the award.
Prior to the award presentation, Girls’ Generation performed ‘The Boys’. During Jessica’s solo part at the final portions of the song, an incident occurred where the microphone stopped functioning out of a sudden. The incident took Jessica by surprise but nonetheless, she kept singing naturally and completed the performance.
Meanwhile, this was the 4th edition of the ‘Style Icon Awards’ and this year, 10 Style Icons were selected based on their prominence in various categories such as hallyu, romantic comedy, historical drama, audition, etc as well as their influences and impact towards certain trends.
The award ceremony was attended by actors, singers, designers, models and other icons from various fields.
