Pony Canyon Japan has successfully won the broadcast license contract of ‘Love Rain’, a television drama that has already attracted overseas attention, including Japan, with its Hallyu star cast.
‘Love Rain’ is led by Director Yoon Seok-ho, who produced internationally famous dramas like ‘Autumn in My Heart’ and ‘Winter Sonata’. Together with new Hallyu stars Jang Geun-suk and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA, the drama has received a lot of attention overseas even at the beginning stage.

In response to the anticipation, sales of broadcasting license has already taken place in Japan during the production period. Upon receiving the ‘early love call’, Pony Canyon Japan won the license contract with the highest price in the Korean drama history. The drama will be aired overseas with an English title ‘Love Rain’.
‘Love Rain’, which has received attention from Korea and overseas, has started filming in September. Up till now, the filming is covering the 1970s section of the story, which will serve as the introduction of the drama.
‘Love Rain’ talks about love stories in the 1970s and 2012, where it merges the old times and digital age to presents the pure love stories of young people simultaneously. The drama will be aired in the first half of next year.
